Our vet tech clinics are in a private home in the Lake of the Woods (LOW) in Orange County on Wednesday from about 2 PM to 7 PM.
Spay/neuter procedures and rabies vaccinations are primarily handled by Celtic Cat Veterinary Services in Spotsylvania on Thursday mornings. If you don’t reside in LOW, you will be provided with a nearby drop-off location to leave your cat at 8 AM and pick it up at 5 PM on the day of the surgery.
What would you prefer to foster? Choose one: Cats Kittens Seniors All
Which foster category would you like to support? Please check all that apply Choose all that apply: Pregnant or nursing cats will require a completely isolated small space or a cage for giving birth and caring for their kittens. They will also need to visit the vet tech clinics often. Orphaned or bottle-fed kittens demand extensive care for several weeks and regular visits to the vet tech clinics. They should have some prior experience. Kittens that have been weaned will need to come to the vet tech clinic often (usually every 2-3 weeks) for check-ups, vaccinations, and then for spaying/neutering. They will also need to be taken to PetSmart adoption events or adoption centers soon after. Kittens or young cats that have been fully checked and are ready for adoption. They are typically available for adoption within 2 weeks after the events or after staying at adoption centers for up to 3 weeks. Kittens or young cats that need a temporary home while their main foster is away. This is a short-term commitment. Young kittens or cats that need to be socialized. The time it takes to socialize each cat varies, but they will need daily attention until they are ready for adoption. Adult cats that require a lot of social interaction. This is a long-term commitment and may take several months before they are ready for adoption. They will need a lot of patience and interaction with humans. Cats of any age that need medications or treatments. It would be helpful if the foster has experience in medicating cats.
