Our volunteer adoption team is here to help you find a cat or kitten who will be a wonderful match for your home. Available Cats and Kittens Start Your SearchBrowse the cats and kittens currently listed for adoption through Cause 4 Paws. Each listing includes information about the cat’s personality, age, and individual needs. Not every cat or kitten in our care is posted online immediately. We often have additional kittens and cats who are still receiving veterinary care, being evaluated in their foster homes, or preparing to become available for adoption. If you do not see the right match, please contact us and tell us what you are looking for. We may have another cat or kitten who would be a wonderful fit for your family. Meet Cats in Person Cause 4 Paws at PetSmartCause 4 Paws maintains three adoption spaces in the Adoption Center at Central Park PetSmart in Fredericksburg. Each space may feature one adult cat or two kittens, depending on their age, size, and individual needs. Cats generally rotate about every two weeks, but the lineup may change sooner when a cat is adopted. Because adoptions and placements can change quickly, we do not list the individual cats currently at PetSmart on this page. Visitors are welcome to stop by the Adoption Center to meet the cats currently staying there. Cats listed on our website may be living in foster homes rather than at PetSmart. If you are interested in meeting a specific cat, please submit an adoption application so our team can help arrange the appropriate next step. What to Expect The Adoption ProcessPlease review the steps below before submitting your application. 1. Submit an ApplicationAll applicants must be at least 18 years old. Please complete the entire application, as missing information may delay the review process. 2. Check Your EmailAfter submitting your application, you will receive a confirmation email. Please check both your inbox and spam or junk folder for a message from Cause 4 Paws. 3. Application ReviewOur volunteer application team will review the information you provide. If we have questions, we will contact you using the phone number or email address listed on your application. 4. Next StepsOnce your application has been reviewed, you will receive an email with a decision and information about the next steps in the adoption process. Approval does not guarantee that a particular cat is still available or that the cat will be the best match for your household.
